How to Apply for NSS Council Grants Information
This is an outline of how to apply for Grant Funds from NSS Council. School Clubs can apply to receive Project and Operating Grant Funding, examples of groups who have received School Council Funding include Buddies, SmartRisk , WellNSS, Northern’s Environmental Association (NEMO), Art Drama and Music productions and Athletics. NSS Council is able to consider these funding requests as a result of the one-time donation by parents to help fund the School Council’s activities for the 2021/2022 year. Funds are allocated to provide items requested for students and staff to improve student enrichment, teacher engagement, parent engagement and enhancements to the school environment.

Teachers or clubs who want to submit their requests for NSS Council Funding on paper forms are welcome to retain the former procedure – simply fill out the form with a Staff signature and submit a photo on the signed documents by email

- Facilitate Staff Advisors to verify funding requests by eliminating the need for signatures on paper

NSS Council invites Project and Operating Grant Funding Requests to be submitted via: nss.school.council@gmail.com
**Any request can be submitted 2 weeks prior to NSS Council meetings for consideration, but priority will be given to requests received by February 15, 2022.
NSS Council Grant Report
We have introduced a simple one page summary to be completed by Student Club Leadership in April, before the final NSS Council meeting. This quick report will enable Clubs to highlight the group’s experiences and help NSS Council understand how the funds were used.
The NSS Council Grant Report will provide:

The NSS Council Grant Report will provide:
- Description of the year’s event or Activities
- Brief overview of the group’s results and impact of the project
- Comments on lessons learned, suggestions for the upcoming year
