City Council direct the General Manager, Transportation Services to undertake the following as part of the temporary pilot project:
- engage in ongoing public consultation with the local community and key stakeholders, including residents' associations, tenants' organizations, school councils, and Business Improvement Areas;
- distribute notices informing local residents of the temporary pilot project in advance of implementation to a notice area determined in consultation with the local Councillors;
- conduct a review of traffic patterns in the Yonge-Eglinton Construction Hub area after the temporary pilot project has been implemented to determine any resulting impacts, including traffic diversion on parallel streets and unmet parking demands;
- report to the July 14 and 15, 2021 meeting of City Council, through the Infrastructure and Environment Committee, on the results of Parts 44. a. and 44. c. above and recommend any operational changes required to satisfy the issues or concerns that may be identified through public consultation and traffic pattern analysis; and
- re-evaluate all construction staging areas and road occupations in the Yonge-Eglinton Construction Hub area to determine how they can be eliminated, minimized or refined.
